M.Sc. Christian Lauhoff
Christian Lauhoff obtained his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in November 2015 at Paderborn University and started his PhD in February 2016 at the Institute of Materials Engineering/Metallic Materials, University of Kassel. Within the research unit HT-SMAs he investigates the correlation between microstructural evolution and (cyclic) functional properties of CoNiGa based high temperature shape memory alloys (HT-SMA).
• Microstructual characterization following different thermo mechanical heat treatments
• Functional and structural stability of oligocrystalline CoNiGa HT-SMA
• Orientation dependency and tension – compression asymmetry of the stress induced martensite aging (SIM-aging)
